E-Swots Minimize

Language learning skills are never more developed than in the early stages of learning. Whatever the child's ability for understanding the ability to learn to speak is paramount. When a new arrival starts in a new place it is important that the first learning that takes place is that of language. The ability to communicate reduces anxiety, develops relationships and supports greater learning at all levels.E-Swots

ESWOTS have found a simple solution that will enable new arrivals with little or no English language usage to develop their English language communication skills and still maintain their community language, celebrating their differences and similarities. Early years placements and Nurseries are the ideal learning zones for language development, allowing E2L early language users to develop alongside English as a first language users.

Eduk8me is a unique learning system that focuses on helping EAL learners achieve greater fluency in English more quickly by encouraging them to start their contextual English learning experiences in their home language and gradually, as they feel confident, undertake the activities in English. The system includes a unique toggle button that allows each learner to choose the language they want to work in and change the activity language during a session. This methodology places them in control of their own learning, encourages personal goal setting and raises self esteem in the learner.

As all educators in England aim to teach to the Early Learning Goals and the National Primary Strategy (NPS) it is important that the learning experiences meet the needs as laid out in these documents. All of the Eduk8me software has been mapped and aligned to the documentation to remove the extra work needed in planning E2L activities.
